Hannapah lies about 18 miles east of Tonopah.

Silver was discovered in Hannapah around 1902, and for the next few years limited mining took place. A town site was plotted out in 1906 and lots were advertised for sale. Some lots were purchased, but only limited mining took place during the years 1902-07, 1913-17, 1915-21, 1927-29, and 1934-64. Five different mining companies tried their luck, but none were very successful. There are several vertical shafts in the area - use caution when exploring the area.

Only a mine headframe, some metal debris, and collapsed building remains.
